Home in His Heart
For many years, I felt as though my heart was too broken to go on beating. In my crying out to the Lord for comfort and strength, I imagined that He gentle took my broken heart in His hands and pressed it into His Most Sacred Heart. In His Heart, pierced open for us, our hearts find healing and wholeness.
This Expressive Arts activity can be done many ways. I used Inktense pencils to create this image of my broken heart safe in the Heart of Christ. Find a printable PDF coloring page of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Draw your broken heart within the image and then color.
Using cardstock or construction paper, cut out a two hearts - one to represent Jesus’ and one to represent yours. Color and decorate them and then glue your heart in His.
Use cardstock, construction paper, or printer paper and create an image of your heart. Then glue it onto an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
As you ceate this comforting image, remember to talk to Jesus. Tell Him about the pain in your heart and ask Him to please keep your heart safe in His.
